This list of islands called Linga provides an index for islands in Scotland with this and similar names.
Linga (Northern Isles) (sometimes Lingay and Lingeigh in the Hebrides) is an extremely common name for Scottish islands and occurs most frequently in Shetland. It is derived from the old Norse lyngey meaning "heather island". The Scottish Gaelic equivalent is Fraoch Eilean or Eilean an Fhraoich.

- Lingay Fhada north of Fuiay and Barra, and south west of Hellisay
